Hello everyone..here is khushi Agrawal of grade 11 from Dhangadhi, Nepal. 

Are you searching for good friends…?? If yes,then we are on the same journey...so let's find our best friend together….

Every person wants different qualities in their friends and according to me, a good friend is someone who laughs with you, who cries with you, who can understand your feelings, who can be your inspiration ,who can motivate you, who can be your partner in crime and who will never try to pull you down. But you know what, getting such friends in today's life is as difficult as getting a vaccine for covid-19…"yes"... it's quite miserable to compare friendship with covid-19 but this is what is actually happening nowadays.

Space of friends in our life is like a lamp and wick. As no one can take place of wick, there is always space of wick in lamp..likewise we people have also space for friends and that space can only occupied by friends.some people are lucky enough as they have friends to occupy that space but some people are really deprived of that happiness and in the counting of that some people..I count myself too.

In my 17 years, I met thousands of people and among them, some became my friends as well but only for short period . Like vanishing ink pen…??? If we write with this pen, content will be disappeared within some period and this is what happened with me as well. Whenever I tried to make best friend they disappeared within some days. By this...I got hurt so many times. From every side,every phase,every face,every corner.I just got hurt. This compelled me to question myself. what's wrong with me?? Why can't I enjoy it like others??why I cant have such true friends?? Why only I look like a stranger in their group??? Am I not perfect for them??? And So many more questions…These questions bothered me a lot...has this ever happened to you???? If yes then no need to worry...one day these questions will realize your importance to you.

Infact, I already realized. One day, there was an annual function in my school and I was very excited because I had to sing a song there. But I was quite sad as every student was performing in a group, practicing together, enjoying and also seated together in an auditorium. But as always, I was alone that day as well. When only 5 mins were remaining for my performance, some friends who were jealous of me came to me and threw cold drinks in my dress...this was the worst moment of my life. Only 5 mins to go and my dress became very dirty. I started crying. Noone came here to help me. I just ran from there towards the washroom to clean my clothes. I was very afraid,crying and blaming myself that why I was never able to make good friends???.. when I went to the washroom, I was cleaning my clothes and there I found a mirror in front of me. As I was crying and cleaning my clothes, that is what exactly seeing in that mirror and that moment made my worst moment , the best one. I found someone whom I want to get. That sweetly crying and helping in cleaning clothes is what I want to be my friend like. And that day, I found my best friend. 

I found a true friend in a mirror. Getting such a nice friend.. who was cleaning my dress,who was crying with me, who was encouraging me and who was cooperating with me.. made me feel like I am the luckiest person in the world. After that ,as I found my best friend, with lots of happiness and courage,I went to the stage and sang a beautiful song for my best friend and you know what everyone liked it…. And the secret behind this is.. my best friend was with me…. So this is how I got every answer to my questions. I knew that my best friend is actually hidden inside me. And only our match will be perfect in this world. So how can I be comfortable with others??? That moment changed my life totally.

I feel proud to have such a friend who never teases me,who never pulls me down, in fact when I cry, she also starts to cry, when I laugh she also starts to laugh... She gives me inspiration, she gives me reason to live…. So this was my journey and this can be yours too. As we started our journey together and you can see I found my best friend….. so you will also definitely… 

Just one thing keep in mind...you are your best friend, only you can change yourself. Friends can make you feel better for a while but a soul hidden inside you will always feel you like soulmate….so stop searching friends in this external world. A better you is hidden inside you…. It's up to you...that you will choose a friend who will secretly slap you and pull you down or that friend who will alway try to pull you up…
